Now that Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is officially open for previews,  we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve managed to secure two of its stars for an exclusive, one-night-only concert.  A Night with Meow  Meow and Ramin Karimloo takes place on Sun 16 Aug as part of our brand new fundraising campaign,  Raise The Roof.

Next year, while The House stage is temporarily closed for works to its roof, the Raise The Roof campaign will help The Rep continue to produce ambitious theatre, and support its work across the city and beyond in schools and communities – work that positively impacts the lives of thousands of children and young people.

A Night with Meow Meow and Ramin Karimloo will see stars Meow Meow (Mrs Lovett) and Ramin Karimloo (Sweeney Todd) take to the stage in a not-to-be-missed evening featuring Meow and Ramin‘s favourite showtunes and songs. All proceeds will contribute to the Raise The Roof appeal.

Alongside other fundraising activities, A Night with Meow  Meow and Ramin Karimloo will be the first in a series of memorable one-off events taking place over the coming months to support the  Raise The Roof  campaign.

Between February and October 2027, our roof will undergo essential works including the removal of RAAC in the original roof structure over the oldest parts of the building, protecting the structure for years to come as well as improving its environmental performance.

During these eight months while The House is temporarily closed, The Rep itself will remain open with performances continuing in our other two auditoriums, The Studio and The Door.

The Raise The Roof fundraising campaign will ensure The Rep remains a vibrant, creative force in Birmingham whilst The House is temporarily closed next year.  It will support The Rep’s work with thousands of children, young people, adults, artists and communities across the city, and allow us to continue to produce thrilling theatre.  A Night with Meow Meow and Ramin Karimloo promises to be a very special evening featuring two exceptional performers, a night not to be missed with all proceeds going to the fundraising campaign.”
