Raise the Roof
Raise the Roof. Support The Rep. Invest in Imagination
Raise the Roof is your chance to help secure the future of this iconic building and the stories brought to life on our stages.
From February to October 2027, The Rep’s roof will undergo essential works, with the main stage temporarily closed for eight months. These works will install a brand new roof, improve its environmental performance and protect the structure for years to come.
During this time, The Rep remains open. Performances will continue in The Studio and The Door theatres and our work with artists, young people and communities will continue to deliver real impact across the city.
Your support today ensures the work continues beyond our stage.
This is your chance to play a part in ensuring artists can keep creating and young people across the city can continue to access opportunities through theatre.
Your support will help us to keep theatre on our stages, invest in artists and open up opportunities for young people across Birmingham through our Creative Learning and Talent Development programmes.
£5 Helps ensure more young people can access theatre and creative opportunities through The Rep.
£10 Supports artists and communities to continue engaging with theatre across Birmingham.
£25 Helps create opportunities for young people who might not otherwise have access to theatre.

Every visit and donation you make plays a part in securing the future of The Rep and the stories still to come. Thank you!
The Rep was one of the main reasons I applied to drama school. It was the first theatre I visited as a child and the first theatre I ever performed in. Without it my life may have taken a completely different course. The Rep’s impact goes far beyond the economic contribution it makes to my home city – it is an essential and vital pathway for aspiring talent, for creating truly world class productions and for welcoming back that talent when it has flowered.”
