New Shows Coming to The Door and The Studio
As much as we love a full house in… The House… We have to show some love to our more intimate performance spaces! And later this year (and into 2026) we’ve just announced six new shows joining us in The Door and Studio!
From a double bill of stand-up comedy events; the much anticipated return of the Jaivant Patel Dance Company; and a trio of National Theatre Live film screenings – we have something for everyone this Autumn/Spring season, with even more to be revealed in our Artistic Director, Joe Murphy’s debut season announcement (coming very soon)!
Bangla Month presents Comedy with SMASHBengali
Sat 21 Nov, 7.30pm – The Studio
After the success of his first sold-out stand-up special last year, Hashu, aka “SMASHBengali” (BBC Asian Network, Channel 4, and BBC Radio 1) returns to the stage with his friends for another unforgettable night of laughter.
Expect more roast battles, stand-up comedy from rising comedians and of course, SMASHBengali himself, bringing even more iconic stories that everyone can relate to. Grab your tickets now to avoid disappointment!
LGBTQTeeHee! Comedy Festival

LGBTQTeeHee! is back for it’s third year! 🌈🎤
Birmingham Rep’s ground-breaking project for the LGBTQ+ community has returned to continue to celebrate LGBTQ+ comedy talent and the brilliant work created through The Rep’s comedy development programme.
And this time, you’ll be able to enjoy brand-new stand-up sets from emerging comedians over TWO NIGHTS! You’ll laugh your socks off as each comedian presents 5-minutes of hilarious comedy material alongside some of Birmingham comedy favourites.
Expect an evening full of laughter, joy, and unforgettable performances!
Codebreakers - The Story of Enigma
Sat 17 Apr 2027, 7.30pm – The Studio
After last year’s sold out demonstration and show, Dr Mark Baldwin returns to share the extraordinary story of how Allied codebreakers at Bletchley Park cracked the Enigma code, Germany’s most closely guarded secret, unlocking intelligence that helped change the course of the Second World War.
And as an additional treat, the event concludes with audience questions and a rare hands-on demonstration of an original Enigma machine.
Goldilocks and The Three Bears
Mon 2 – Wed 4 Aug 2027- The Studio
Stiles & Drewe (Becoming Nancy, Three Little Pigs) return to The Rep with a new family-friendly adventure perfect for ages 3+!
Join Goldilocks on a heart-warming 50-minute romp deep in the woods in this fresh, funny retelling of the classic fairy tale that’s juuuuust right!
Plus, a brand-new workshop from friend of The Rep and Midlands based poet Ty’rone Haughton!
Made You Look - Workshops
Wed 21 Oct, 2pm – The Door and Thu 29 Oct, 7pm – The Hub
Join poet and performer Ty’rone Haughton for his add-on workshop – ‘Personal is Universal’
Inspired by the making of Ty’rone‘s debut poetry show Made You Look which will premier at The Rep this October, this workshop focuses on creating personal and cathartic work while allowing audiences to feel involved and included in the wider narrative.
Additionally, participants based in Birmingham (with a Birmingham Postcode) will receive an additional discount.
