Made You Look - Workshop

‘Personal is Universal’ workshop led by Ty’Rone Haugton, Associate Artistic Director of Apples and Snakes

This workshop is inspired by the making of Ty’rone‘s debut poetry show Made You Look and focuses on creating personal and cathartic work while allowing audiences to feel involved and included in the wider narrative. Participants will take away both writing and performance techniques, as well as individual workshopping and mentoring from Ty’rone. The Personal Is Universal workshop supports poets and theatre makers in understanding their individual voice and rhythms and how those elements can translate onto stage and into something theatrical.

Ty’rone Haughton is Associate Artistic Director of Apples and Snakes and is an experienced and highly skilled facilitator who has been delivering poetry writing and performance workshops for over a decade using his experience as a youth mentor, professional poet and dynamic workshop facilitator to work with a wide range of communities.
