This summer participants will have the exciting opportunity to develop their acting skills and work with professional theatre directors at Birmingham Rep. This course will specifically focus on acting techniques when working with scripts.

The first half of the week you will work with professional directors to explore a range of acting approaches for performing scripted work. The course will run alongside the Directing for Theatre course and in the latter half of the week the courses will combine to give Actors and Directors the opportunity to develop the skills learned in the first half of the week. Under the guidance of the professional directors, participants on the directing course will work with participants on the acting course to direct extracts from professional scripts. This will then culminate in a sharing of work that will take place on the Friday.
