Directors Link Up
Join our peer support network for directors
We’re excited to present this free, bi-monthly group for directors at any stage of their career. If you’re looking for an open and relaxed space to learn new directing techniques, get support from peers and share ideas, this is for you. At The Rep we are building a community of empowered directors in the West Midlands and we want you to be a part of it!
During these sessions, you will meet other directors to talk about topics affecting your area of practice, read scripts, discuss theatre shows and delve into directing approaches, theory and exercises. We will also give you a discounted ticket to see a show at The Rep after every session.
Led by The Rep’s in-house Associate Director Madeleine Kludje (GrimeBoy, City of a Thousand Trades) and featuring guest workshop leaders across the year, Directors Link Up offers a great place to connect and reflect.
Next Session:
Thu 26 Jun
Space TBD
Talk and Q&A 5.30 – 6.30pm
Show from 7pm
Join us for an inspiring evening of conversation and connection!
We’re excited to announce this special edition of Directors Link Up on 26th June. We will be joined by Iqbal Khan, director of Marriage Material, who will share his insights into the process and answer your questions. Iqbal is the Rep Associate Director and 2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony Director. His credits include East Is East, Of Mice and Men, Tartuffe, and SILENCE.
This director’s talk is not only a chance to gain valuable insight into the creative process behind the production, it’s also an opportunity to meet fellow directors, share ideas, and grow your creative network.
Attendees will also receive an exclusive discount on tickets to that evening’s performance. Simply RSVP by Mon 23 Jun and contact the box office to claim your £10 ticket offer!
Spaces are limited to just 20 participants and they’ll go fast so don’t miss out!
