Now that Sherlock and The 12 Days of Christmas has opened, and the great detective is on the case unravelling the mysterious deaths occurring across the Theatre world we couldn’t help but unveil a few secrets of our own…
Like announcing the ELEVEN new shows + and TWO new festivals
joining us in 2026!
But that’s not all! Since we’re feeling ever so festive, we have another gift for you all! We’re also announcing our 2026 Christmas shows – a magical adaptation of Peter Pan (Wed 18 Nov 2026 – Sun 17 Jan 2027) by Phil Porter with original music from Ruth Chan, and with our very own Artistic Director, Joe Murphy at the helm; and the return of Rep Associate Artist, Caroline Wilkes (Jack And The Magic Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood) to direct our Door Christmas show The Ugly Duckling (Thu 3 Dec 2026 – Sun 10 Jan 2027).

While you wait for Peter and Tinker Bell to whisk you away next Christmas, join us this January in our intimate The Door performance space for an immersive adventure through Neverland, presented by our friends at Open Theatre – specialists in non-verbal physical theatre with young people with learning disabilities.
With live music, gentle sensory moments and plenty of chances to join in, Search for the Second Star: Reimagined invites everyone to take part in the magic. Because in Neverland, even a lost Star can shine again, if we look for it together.
Meet Fred

After touring 20+ countries and delighting thousands of audiences, Meet Fred – the biting and hilarious political satire from award-winning inclusive theatre company Hijinx and BLind SumMiT.
This critically acclaimed production features a stellar cast of performers with and without learning disabilities and/or autism as they take us on a journey thorough Fred’s (a cloth puppet) world as everything spirals out of control with someone else pulling the strings.

Get ready for an electric night of performance poetry, rhythm, and truth as Apples and Snakes in collaboration with UniSlam brings the legendary Jawdance to Birmingham Rep for a showcase of the very best in contemporary spoken word.

The UK and Ireland’s most exciting spoken word poets perform live at the UniSlam Semi-finals and Grand Final!
UBUNTU Humanity Towards Others

“Bridgerton-meets-Gen-Z-Jane-Austen-on-Adderall”…Honestly, we couldn’t think of a better description!
Set roughly “in the past”, Lady Clementine is running out of time to find The One and what is there left to do with such an important deadline looming besides embarking on a deliciously demented quest to solve the mystery of her ill fortune, find love and maybe have a few laughs on the way!
Joe Tracini - 10 Things I Hate About Me

Actor, writer and TV presenter Joe Tracini makes his Rep Debut with this stand-up comedy special based and named after his bestselling book – 10 Things I Hate About Me.
This show isn’t just laughs, it’s also about mental illness, good liars, bad ideas, Lorraine Kelly and a gang lord forcing him… to hold a raw chicken?
This mix of comedy, storytelling and some home-truths is a must see.
BalletBoyz Still Pointless

After a quarter of a century on stage, the BalletBoyz will be joining us at The Rep for the anniversary of their critically acclaimed debut, Pointless with the world-premiere of a brand-new commission, Still Pointless.
10 world-class dancers will be taking audiences on a retrospective journey through the company 25 year history, featuring works from choreographers Christopher Wheeldon, Iván Perez, Maxine Doyle, Liam Scarlett, Xie Xin, and Javier de Frutos, and composers Scott Walker, Cassie Kinoshi, Keaton Henson, and Max Richter.
Rep Rising Festival

Following on from the hugely successful trilogy of festivals – Order and Chaos, Love and Rebellion, and Home and Horizons – Rep Rising 26 will be showcasing 2 jam-packed weeks of theatre performed by emerging talent from our Young Rep and Rep Pathways programmes.
The festival will also feature for the first ever performance by our brand-new intensive training programme for emerging actors, Rep Studio 8 and an original piece by our new devising musical theatre group, Young Rep Collective.
Blue Mist

July sees the return of internationally acclaimed director and former Rep Resident Assistant Director, Milli Bhatia (Liberation Squares, seven methods of killing kylie jenner, Speed) with the Olivier Award-nominated Blue Mist written by Mohamed-Zain Dada (Dizzy, Speed)
Set in Chunkyz Shisha Lounge, aspiring journalist Jihad sets out to give voice to his community in this darkly funny story about truth, trust and ambition.
The Void

Do you manage to catch Shock Horror: A Ghost Story this October? Well next year, we’re offering you the chance to see its equally chilling sister production – The Void.
Set millions of miles from Earth, a mysterious distress call crackles through the ether and draws Flint, a haunted space ranger, towards an ageing research vessel in the grip of a nightmare. Combining powerful illusions, atmospheric projections and a creeping sense of dread, this story asks… what are you afraid of?

The Curious Incident of the Dog in The Night-Time

Alongside Melting Pot, we’re thrilled to bring a brand-new staging of this century’s most popular murder mystery (with Sherlock Holmes and The 12 Days of Christmas as a close second of course!)
When the dog belonging to Christopher Boone’s neighbour is discovered dead, he finds himself under suspicion. Determined to prove his innocence, Christopher becomes both detective and suspect, drawn into a mystery that grows darker and more complex with every clue he uncovers.

Fairies! Pirates! And a (fairy) dusting of magic is in store for any and all willing to take an unforgettable trip to Neverland for the 2026 festive season!
Bursting with imagination, this faithful re-telling of J M Barrie’s much loved children’s story has been adapted by Phil Porter with original music from Ruth Chan, and with our very own Artistic Director, Joe Murphy at the helm of the (pirate) ship!
Can The Lost Boys and the Darling children avoid walking the plank and summon the courage to grow up on their own terms?
The Ugly Duckling

Far away from the farm’s strict pecking order, this Ugly Duckling will be marching out on an extraordinary mission into the big wide world to see if the grass really is greener on the other side.
Adapted by Katherine Chandler, this brilliant production reimagines Hans Christian Anderson’s charming fairy tale into the perfect festive tale for our younger audiences. This production also marks the return of Rep Associate Artist, Caroline Wilkes (Jack And The Magic Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood) to The Door.
