John Hornby is an experienced business director and charity trustee.  He is a trustee of The Rep and chairs our Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.

John trained as a Chartered Accountant and spent 15 years working for NEC Group in Birmingham, most of which as chief operating officer. That followed finance and general management roles at Barclays and Boots. Since leaving his NEC role in 2019 he has been a non-executive director of several businesses.

John is an experienced charity trustee, having spent nine years on the board of the Royal Shakespeare Company.  He chaired their Audit Committee throughout that term.  In addition to his Rep role, John is currently a trustee of another local charity.
