Kuljit is best known as a pioneer of the British Bhangra sound and for his many collaborations with musicians from different cultures.

He has recorded and produced over 2000 songs and is the recipient of many awards including a platinum disc for outstanding record sales presented by the much-loved BBC Radio DJ, John Peel. Currently Professor of Tabla, Indian Rhythm & Improvisation at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Kuljit is passionately committed to promoting the understanding of Indian instruments, and broadening their use in all types of music.

In his ongoing mission to Demystify Indian Music and Democratise Indian drumming, he created a Tabla Notation system which is now being used by composers and music students worldwide. Recently, he created the world’s first electronic tabla which he developed in his company Keda Music.

His cutting-edge projects and ground-breaking educational work earned him the prestigious honour of MBE in 2009

Josh Sood, a graduate from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Music, specializes in orchestral conducting. Mentored by the likes of David Charles Abell and Mike Dixon, he currently serves as the Musical Director for Bhangra Nation at The Rep.

Noteworthy credits include his role as Musical Supervisor, MD, and Orchestrator for But I’m A Cheerleader at the Turbine Theatre. Further directing work includes: The Man In The White Suit, (as writer/director, Wyndhams), starring Stephen Mangan; The Dresser, (Duke of York’s); his RSC debut, adapting and directing Thomas Middleton’s A Mad World My Masters, (Swan Theatre, Stratford, and Barbican); Harry Hill and Steve Brown’s, I Can’t Sing! at The London Palladium, starring Cynthia Erivo; Present Laughter, The Critic, and The Real Inspector Hound, (Chichester Festival Theatre); Joe Orton’s What The Butler Saw, (Vaudeville); Ben Hur, (Watermill); Pinter’s People, (Theatre Royal, Haymarket); as writer only, his adaptation of Eugene Ionesco’s Amedee, or How To Get Rid Of It, debuted at Birmingham Rep.

Sean has also directed the live shows of leading comedians, including: Joan Rivers: A Work In Progress, (Leicester Square); Armstrong and Miller Live (UK Tour); Catherine Tate Live (UK and Australian Tour)

As co-artistic director of the right size, he created, co-wrote and starred in ten original stage comedies 1990 to 2000. The company played in over 25 countries around the world, winning many international awards.

His feature film directing debut, Mindhorn, written by and starring Julian Barratt & Simon Farnaby, was first seen at the London Film Festival and won the London Film Comedy Award for Best First Feature. TV directing includes episodes of Sky’s anthology series, Urban Myths: Marilyn and Billy, starring Gemma Arterton; and, Diana and Freddy. 

Sarah Page is a Freelance Producer/Consultant with over a decade of experience working in the theatre industry. As a freelancer she has worked with organisations such as: Punchdrunk ‘The world’s leading immersive theatre company’, Global Creatures, Theatre Peckham and ITV.

Before going freelance, Sarah was Lead Artistic Producer on the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Prior to this she served west end production offices, including: The Really Useful Group, Society of London Theatre and Mark Rubinstein Ltd. Sarah also specialises in EDI within Creative Arts and is a Non-Executive Director for Beyond the Box CIC.
