Meet The Rep’s new Artistic Director, Joe Murphy, in our open access Town Hall events.  

It is a very exciting time at The Rep as we get ready to launch the debut season from our newly appointed Artistic Director. 

Ahead of this we want to invite the creatives, companies, and communities of Birmingham to town hall conversations with Joe about the future of The Rep and the importance of culture in creating a thriving Birmingham and West Midlands. 

We firmly believe that The Rep is a civic resource, and to be of service to our communities, we need to listen to them first. Ideas, viewpoints, and insights expressed at the town hall events will inform the future of The Rep. 

Anyone is welcome at any of the town hall events, but each one will have its own focus:

• Wed 10 Sep is focussed on freelance creatives from the region
• Wed 17 Sep  is focussed on creative companies
• Wed 24 Sep is focussed on the communities of Birmingham and the West Midlands
• Wed 1 Oct is an online town hall for those who can’t attend in person (a joining link will be sent in advance of the event)
