Open Casting Call: Peter Pan

The Rep is holding open auditions for local actors to be part of our vibrant new production of Peter Pan, directed by The Rep’s Artistic Director, Joe Murphy.

About the Production

This is a fantastic opportunity for performers from Birmingham and the West Midlands to audition for our in-house Christmas production, on The House stage.

We’re looking for actor musicians who fit the casting breakdown to bring this heart-warming adaptation of Peter Pan to life.

What We’re Looking For

    • A mixture of actors based in the West Midlands as well as elsewhere in the UK.
    • Passionate, versatile actors who are excited by bold, contemporary storytelling
    • Performers with strong singing voices (all company members will be required to sing)
    • Actor musicians who play one of the following instruments to a highly proficient level:
      • Drums
      • Bass
      • Rhythm guitar
      • Lead guitar
      • Trumpet
      • Trombone
      • Saxophone plus clarinet
      • Tenor sax
      • French horn
      • Cornet

(Please note: We are also open to options of instruments that are not listed above)

  • Applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences – you do not need to have agent representation to apply.

Audition Dates

The audition date for the Open Casting Call at Birmingham Rep is Thu 19 Mar 2026
(Unfortunately we will not be accepting self-tapes if you are unable to attend)

Production Dates:

If you are selected to be a part of this production, the production dates that you will need to be available for are: 

Rehearsals from Mon 12 Oct 

Tech starts from Mon 9 Nov 

Performances run from Wed 18 Nov – Sun 17 Jan 2027

The deadline to apply is Sun 15 Mar at 12 noon. 

We are anticipating a high number of applications.
If you are selected to attend an audition day, you will be notified via email on or before Wed 18 Mar at 12 noon.
