Sleuths and Soothsayers – Sherlock Holmes Premieres Tomorrow!

Greetings, dear readers!

I have missed writing to you over the last week, but I’m sure you’ll forgive my tardiness now that the day has almost arrived! ! After weeks of dashing about the rehearsal room like elves on a deadline, Sherlock Holmes and The 12 Days of Christmas is finally ready to make its grand debut tomorrow evening to a SOLD OUT Auditorium!

And I must say, with the scent of greasepaint mingling with the mince pies, one can almost hear the sleigh bells and audience cheers ringing in the wings.

Here are all my latest deductions from the FINAL WEEK of Rehearsals 😱:

Our final rehearsals have been nothing short of a festive whirlwind. With our cast of merry mischief-makers have brought every moment to sparkling life! Mark Bailey‘s sprawling set is as sharp as the deductions made upon it! And between the set, the laughter, and the (not-so) occasional dramatic flourish, one could almost believe we’ve stepped straight into the pages of a Christmas mystery!

Under the ever-watchful eye and ear of our Music Supervisor Mr. John Rigby (whose patience rivals that of Mrs. Hudson herself), every harmony, carol and high note has been polished to only the grandest standard. But when the very tunes we’ve been humming since day one, have been crafted by two musical maestros of mystery, Sir Tim Rice and Lord Lloyd-Webber one would expect nothing less!

There’s an electric buzz in the air—a mixture of excitement, anticipation, and perhaps just a touch of nervousness. But as Holmes himself would say, “The game is afoot!” And what a glorious game it shall be.

So, my dear friends, dust off your deerstalkers, wrap up warm, and join us for a night of laughter, mystery, and Christmas cheer. The curtain rises tomorrow, and we can hardly wait to welcome you to Baker Street!

So until then – keep your spirits high, your brandy warm, and your notebooks at the ready!

Yours most faithfully,

Dr. John H. Watson

P.S. Tickets are vanishing faster than the pudding at Mrs. Hudson’s table—so do be swift, and secure your seat before the game begins!
