Abdul Wase Samim is a dedicated academic and legal expert with extensive experience in Islamic law, human rights, and women’s rights. He was an assistant professor at Herat University, teaching Islamic studies and the legal system. Alongside his academic role, he actively worked in human rights, women’s empowerment, and the rule of law initiative with international organizations in Afghanistan.
Seeking to further his expertise, he pursued an LLM at the University of Washington before coming to the UK. After the Taliban takeover, he came to the UK as a CARA “Council for At-Risk Academic” fellow at Leicester University. Currently, he is living in Birmingham and pursuing a PhD at Aston University.
