Our Future Needs You!

Join us for a lively and empowering 2 hour event about Climate Awareness  – for artists and arts organisations in the West Midlands.

We are in the midst of Climate & Ecological breakdown, of which the science is clear and the evidence is irrefutable – but this crisis is also a failure of the imagination. The stories we tell ourselves right now are crucial. What are the obligations of the creative sector in helping us vision a future we want to live in? How can we as artists stand in solidarity with our scientific colleagues to amplify their message? How do we help people connect emotionally with what it means for our collective futures?

The event includes a presentation on the Climate Emergency from Chloe Naldrett (Rep Executive Producer and Climate Activist with Cultures Declares Emergency), followed by a panel discussion with artists and activists from across the region. The afternoon concludes with a brainstorming session considering the role that the arts has to play in communicating about the Climate & Ecological Emergency and asking what we can do next together.
