A Christmas of Giving at The Rep
This Christmas has been truly incredible! We would like to say a huge thank you to all who have supported our fundraising during this festive season.
Nativity audiences have helped raise an astonishing £8152 through our post show bucket collections! This wonderful generosity funds our life changing activities both on and off stage.
We were blown away by the support we received for our Big Give Christmas Challenge and managed to reach our £10,000 target! The money raised will allow us to offer free tickets and transport to vulnerable groups across the City, enabling many to enjoy their first ever experience of live theatre.
We know that for many, this Christmas was especially challenging and that makes this support more amazing. Thank you so much to everyone who played their part. All of this support will make such a difference.”

We also launched our ‘gift a ticket’ appeal this year and asked customers who were booking for Nativity, to purchase an extra ticket to the show for someone who would otherwise be unable to attend. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported this initiative. These tickets made Christmas extra special for so many.
To be honest I’ve never been to the theatre before because it feels like a lot of money when you are on a pension. But I absolutely loved it and want to come again.”
As part of our partnership with the Trussell Trust national food bank network, we would like to thank Biffa for providing collection points for food donations, as well as give a tremendous thank you to all of our wonderful audiences who donated items and our volunteers who distributed these donations to food banks all across the city.
