Dan Fredenburgh
After graduating from Arts Ed Dan went straight into Britain’s only surviving weekly rep; Frinton Summer rep. After that baptism of fire Dan went on to play the title role in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of The Prince of Homburg – for which he was nominated for the prestigious Iain Charleson award. Other theatre work includes west end productions: An Inspector Calls, directed by Stephen Daldry; A Few Good Men with Rob Lowe, directed by David Esbjornson & Aaron Sorkin; Theatre d’ Complicité’s award winning production of Mnemonic, and a number of plays with world renowned directors – Sir Peter Hall, Max Stafford Clark and Rupert Goold.
Dan’s most recent stage work was the Globe Theatre’s production of The Merchant Of Venice with Jonathan Pryce, which transferred to the Lincoln Centre on Broadway, and the farce Moonlight & Magnolias at Nottingham Playhouse.
Film work ranges from the rom-com Love Actually, to the thriller The Bourne Ultimatum, and acclaimed director Costa Gavras’ political drama Adults In The Room. He can currently be seen having his head blown off by Gary Oldman in The Courier!
TV credits include the current tennis drama, Fifteen Love (Amazon) to period dramas like the BBC’s adaptations of Jane Austen’s Emma, and their production of A Christmas Carol.
