Fri 10 & Sat 11 Jul Performance Update:

Please note, train strikes are planned to take place on Fri 10 and Sat 11 Jul and there will be limited services on both days across West Midlands Railway trains. We recommend mapping your route in advance and leaving plenty of time for your journey.

Hot Weather Warning:

Due to the current hot weather, audiences are welcome to bring a bottle of water to help stay hydrated during your visit. We also have water stations available at our bars to grab cups of water if needed.

Moving Portraits – What does it mean to be me?

Join us for an innovative, accessible, screen dance event.

Moving Portraits captures and shares physical stories of people with complex disabilities, presented as part of Birmingham 2022 Festival.

Using the latest in SubPac Technology, the screen dance shorts can be experienced through vibration with audio description, as well as through the visual medium of film.

The event will celebrate the movements of the people Sense supports as well as the work of dance artists, utilising the latest technology to ensure access is at the heart of the work.

Each screening is fully relaxed with Captions, Audio Description and SubPac Technology embedded throughout.

As a relaxed event, we aim for access and inclusion at every level and therefore market the event as Pay What You Can. We know that price is a barrier for some and this new model aims to give everyone a chance to see our screening.
