Comedy In Facilitation Masterclass

Join Angie Belcher, comedy pioneer and award winning coach and trainer, for this Comedy in Facilitation Masterclass where she will show you how she facilitates courses and workshops to inspire thousands of people to get from couch to comedy each year, by helping people to know their comedic persona, perform with gravitas and to get their first comedy sets written and ready for a live audience.

Find out how Angie works with people to use stand-up comedy as a therapeutic intervention to give people confidence to write and perform from their life experiences.

Bursaries

We want all of our workshops, masterclasses and opportunities at The Rep to be open and accessible to all people who want to take part. We actively seek to remove any barriers, including financial, that might prevent you feeling like you can access our work.

If you wish to apply for a fee waiver bursary, please complete the below form no later than 2 weeks before the date of the activity you wish to attend. We will respond via email regarding the results of your application within 3 working days.

This course will help you to:

  • Understand some of the theories Angie uses to help people to see their mental and health and wellbeing in a comedic context.
  • How to help people to write comedy using their own lives as an inspiration.
  • Gain insight into how you can use “The Inner Comedian” to connect the work people do on stage to their everyday lives.
  • Use comedic approaches to help people’s wellbeing and mental health.
  • Understand how Angie sets up courses to enable people to explore their vulnerability in a safe way.
This workshop is for anyone interested in using the arts to help people in community settings.
