“A whole school is on the line; staff, students, a whole community. But which one?”
Four schools. One talent show. Who will emerge victorious?
Transitions follows the fortunes of groups of students and teachers from four schools as they approach next steps and important decisions.
The passions and successes of the students are tested, whilst their schools and teachers are inspected. Will being forced to conform to other people's expectations and to fit into uncomfortable tick boxes lead to failure or success?
Transitions is a new play by award-winning playwright Lorna French, which has been specially commissioned by the RSA for these performances by three Midlands academies.
The dates and academies performing are as follows:
13 July RSA Academy Arrow Vale
14 July RSA Academy Whitley
17 & 18 July RSA Academy Tipton
RSA would like to thank the Oak Foundation for supporting these performances.
