Students from University of Wolverhampton, University of Worcester, Newman University and Birmingham School of Acting join together to present an evening of pieces created by each of their respective drama cohorts.

University of Wolverhampton presents
Viva La Revolution

A black comedy following two roommates, Jamie and Natalie, as a new threat to Jamie's future causes rising tension in their friendship. Viva La Revolution explores anger, rebellion, and the fight for control in intense, but amusing circumstances.

This performance contains scenes of a violent nature.

University of Worcester presents
Bad Connection

How much of your life do you entrust to your phone? There are calendar Apps to fill up your days, health Apps to fix up your body and endless entertainment Apps to burn out the wasted time between. Not to mention the black hole of social media.

Devised by Drama and Performance students at The University of Worcester, Bad Connection seeks to reflect upon our fragmented modern landscape of digitalised social communication. Ensnaring our impatience with another addictive box set, condensing the power of public debate into a re-tweet and silencing "Hello" into a “swipe right”.

Newman University presents
Discordant

Discordant is about an 18-year-old boy called Alex who has decided to end it all. He performs the inquest into his very own suicide while questioning those he loved most. We explore the build up to Alex's fatal decision while gaining insight with the relationships he once had with his brave-faced father, mentally ill mother, best friend who's too busy with her own life, his sister who abandoned him to find her own purposes abroad, as well as all those who entered his world at this terrible time of his life. Alex wants them all to realise that they should have listened more.

Manic Theatre Company in association with Birmingham School of Acting presents
The Little Creepers

The Little Creepers is a one woman play about the trials and tribulations of a teenage schizophrenic in the twenty first century. Jenny is an eighteen year old girl who worries about boys, sex and the beast that she sees. Follow Jenny through her journey to try and conquer her fears and tell her mother about the things she sees, but as most people do - Jenny gets distracted.
