REPurposed - Writers
Our theatre building may be closed, but we are still open - to keep the conversation going we're launching REPurposed…
REPurposed is our brand new series of conversations, insights and masterclasses. It's a chance for artists, creators and audiences across Birmingham, the wider region and nationally, to exchange ideas, be present, discover new skills, ask questions, provide answers, find out more about The REP or take a moment to chat about what matters to you.
These free, open conversations will be hosted on Zoom with our Artistic Director Sean Foley and Deputy Artistic Director Amit Sharma - plus from time to time some of our new Associate Artists.
Our Associate Artists include: Lorna Laidlaw, Mohammed Ali, Debbie Isitt, Iqbal Khan, Lolita Chakrabarti, Drew McOnie, Pippa Aillion, Tyrone Huggins, Meera Syal, Richard Thomas, Selina Thompson, Paul Hunter and Tanika Gupta.
Taking place each Tuesday between 5.45pm-7pm, each week will focus on a different theme, so feel free to sign up to as many as you want.
You're part of the story.
We invite writers from across Birmingham, the West Midlands, and nationally - alongside anyone who has participated in our various writing schemes - to join us for an open discussion about staying creative during lockdown, current issues you are facing, and how we can help.
From sharing ideas, to talking candidly, or simply being present and listening, this open conversation will be driven by you and facilitated by Artistic Director Sean Foley and Deputy Artistic Director Amit Sharma, alongside REP Literary Associate Tanika Gupta.
