Bold Text Playwrights return to The REP with Doubled Up - two plays in progress from BOLDtext writers Liz John and Julia Wright.

World War 3
y Liz John

Zoe is fighting for the planet. James yearns for a career. Kat needs her sister to be ok. Ella just wants it all. But no-one listens to young people, so now it's time to make a stand.

Can the fiery enthusiasm of youth overcome the cynical politics of today's Britain? A challenging, acerbic tale of conflicting ambition in the 21st Century.

Unfollow Me
By Julia Wright

What is the tipping point when obsession becomes truly dangerous? Ayesha, Natalie and Sam have to make the decisions which will determine the future of all three of them. Who is in charge and who is losing the fight?

Curated, managed and produced by the groups themselves, this season of Open Door sees the space being claimed by the Cucumber Writers Group and the Bold Text Collective. The Cucumber Writers Group grew out of The REP's Write Away playwriting programme, they meet regularly to share, make and develop new writing. BOLDtext Playwrights are eight West Midlands-based playwrights who collaborate to create more opportunities and platforms for their work.
