Description

Young Vic Taking Part collaborated with HMP Wandsworth to create a new piece of theatre with 8 inmates that explored the universal themes of siblings and family. This production at the Festival of European Youth Theatre is a restaged performance of the show with a new cast of young men aged 18 – 25 who are retelling the prisoners' stories.

Young Vic Taking Part produces the highest quality participatory work with local young people. Our productions allow for a diverse range of young people to perform in a show that responds to the work on our stages. In previous productions we have worked alongside prsioners, refugees, homeless people, inpatients and participants with learning difficulties or physical disabilities.

Our productions have been performed in a variety of settings such as theatres, museums, hotels and care homes. Within all our work, our focus is to place young people's voices at the centre of all that we do.
