PLAYOFF is a tragicomedy about the role of women and women's sports in a society that is still dominated by a terrible machismo.
Not only are the players invited to this match: their fears, envies, doubts and dreams will also join a game played by women who only want to live their passion.
La Joven Compañía is a pioneer project in Spain that gathers professionals of Performing Arts and Education and young artists and technicians with the mission of developing young audiences all over Spain throughout the research in contemporary playwriting and youth employment. Around fifty young professionals, aged between 18 and 27 work currently for the company guided by top-level professional artists from Spanish National Theatre. La Joven Compañía performs every year in more than 30 cities nationwide for more than 40,000 audience members. The Company's work was acknowledged with El Ojo Crítico Theatre Award in 2014 by Radio Nacional de España.
