Play Reading: random by debbie tucker green
This week at The REP's Play-Reading Group there will be a reading of random, by debbie tucker green.
Led by The REP's Education Officers Ben Cain and Lucy Wild, the fun, informal Play-Reading Group is a way to discover a range of playwrights, styles and periods.
First staged at the Royal Court in 2008, random made a huge impact on audiences in its portrayal of such an intimate and domestic story about key societal issues.
Ben says, "We're really looking forward to a lively evening of thought-provoking discussions, but more than that we're looking forward to exploring this beautiful play. So grab yourself a drink at the bar if you want one and meet us in the foyer. You don't need to bring anything, we'll provide the scripts. See you there!"
The group is completely free and this week's reading will take place in The REP's Foyer on Thursday 14 December from 7.30pm.
Upcoming dates for Play-Reading Group:

Red Velvet by Lolita Chakrabarti
Red Velvet is set in 1833 and tells the story of Ira Aldridge, a young black American actor, as he takes on the role of Othello after the intended performer collapses on stage. Set at the same time as the abolition of slavery, the play tells the story of how difficult it is to revolutionise art when there's a political revolution going on outside.
