Our Favourite Funnies This Season
Fancy a laugh?
We've put together a list of our five favourite comedy performances this season at The REP.
With stand up, improv and laugh a minute shows we can guarantee a hilarious night out this Autumn.
- Catch A Comedy Gem
The makers of the hilarious The Play That Goes Wrong are out to steal as many laughs as possible in The Comedy About A Bank Robbery.
A priceless diamond has been entrusted to the city bank, an institution so corrupt that even the security guards are on the take. Can it be safely stored or will it all go horribly wrong?
This smash-and-grab hit is guaranteed to deliver swag loads of laughter - it'd be criminal to miss it!
- A Comedy Of Biblical Proportions
Loved The 39 Steps? Then you'll love The Messiah, the latest comedy from the same writer, Patrick Barlow.
Comedy giant Hugh Dennis joins Lesley Garrett and John Marquez to play a cast of thousands in this unpredictable and hilarious play, that promises to be the funniest and most magical nativity you will ever see.
- A Show That Will Leave You On A High
Take a trip with us with All You Need Is LSD this October.
In this darkly humorous new play Leo Bulter becomes a guinea pig in the world's first LSD medical trial since the 1960's. Watch Leo jump down the rabbit hole in the search for enlightenment, meeting an array of interesting characters along the way.
- Be Spontaneous!
This year we're teaming up with Birmingham Improv Festival to bring some outstanding Improv to The REP.
Forget Pride And Prejudice and Emma and witness a brand new 'lost' Jane Austen novel being created with Austentatious.
Plus we have triple the fun with the hugely talented, Olivier Award-winning team, The Showstoppers. There is not a script in sight for their Improvised Musical and Kids Show. You can also get involved in the action with a fast paced Improv Workshop.

From dinner party etiquette to defeating death, to right wing politics and beyond; no topic is off the table for our stand up comedy stars this Autumn.
See big names and fresh faces take to the stage, including Chris Ramsey, Iain Stirling, Juliette Burton, Kai Samra and Ahir Shah...
