Emily Hughes was born and raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne and started to study ballet at the age of 3. She was offered a place at the Elmhurst School for dance at the age of 14 where she studied for 5 years. Upon graduation she accepted a contract in Estonia to dance with the Vanemuine Ballet Theatre under the direction of Mare Tommingas. She had the opportunity to dance in works such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Onegin, Giselle and many more classical reps.
She left Estonia in 2010 and since then has performed in The Phantom Of The Opera 25th Anniversary Concert at the Royal Albert Hall and toured across the UK with Vienna Festival Ballet, performing in roles for Coppelia, Cinderella and Tchaikovsky Galas.
She has danced for adverts and television shows, as well as appearing in many corporate events.
This is Emily's fifth year joining the cast of The Snowman and she is looking forward to being a part of the magical show again.
