Visiting The REP with your family

We want to make sure that visiting The REP with your family is a fantastic experience for you all, and one that you will want to repeat time and time again.

We know that sometimes planning an outing with children can be challenging, so in this section we’ve tried to include everything which you might need to know if you’re thinking about bringing your family to the theatre.

Family Pricing

For some shows we offer Family Tickets and Baby Passes, as well as under 16 tickets.

Baby Passes cost £1.50 and are available for children under 2 years old, to sit on the accompanying adult’s knee.

Please remember that there may be another 800 people in the audience and we would ask that you consider their needs and leave the auditorium with your child should they become noisy or restless. Our staff may step in and ask you to leave should you fail to do so. They’ll also help you back to your seat once things have calmed down.

Family tickets are available for our Christmas show. Prices vary depending on the day you chose to attend. Family Tickets are for parties of four to seven people where at least 2 are under 16. Please ask at box office for more information.

Family Shows

Shows which we think are particularly suitable for families with young children are marked with a Family Suitable Icon symbol throughout this website. For other shows, we will suggest the age suitability of the production. This is only a guide, and not the same as cinema certification. If you need to find out more information about the production to help make up your mind about whether you are happy to bring your children, you can contact the Sales Team info@birmingham-rep.co.uk

Toilets/Baby changing facilities

We have toilets and baby changing facilities on both the ground and first floors. On the ground floor baby changing facilities are in the accessible toilet next to the cloakroom, and on the first floor in the ladies’ toilet.
