Parallels With Today
Will audiences be able to draw parallels between the time the play was written and what’s happening in the global economy now?
I think it’s a case of allowing the audience to form their own opinion and to take their own journey whilst watching the play while also allowing them to almost learn lessons from it. We’ve gone through such a financial bust recently and I think that seeing such an exponential boom played out in front of them will hopefully make the audience consider their own position in the credit crunch. I’d like to think that it offers a timely warning of what’s happened in the past and what may occur in the future.
