The Sad Tale Of The Beauxhommes

The peasants tell the story of a family who gave birth to a son during Napoleonic times. When they lost the war they cursed their son and all the sons that were yet to come and said that they could never leave the island and return to France. The peasants explain that Daniel is one of these sons. The peasants take Daniel away and Ti Moune tries to save him, crying out that she wants to marry him. Ti Moune talks to her parents and explains her love for Daniel. Mama tries to convince her otherwise but eventually concedes and Ti Moune leaves home to find Daniel.
