Nikolai Foster is the Director of The REP’s new production of A Christmas Carol and Peter Polycarpou is the actor playing the part of Ebenezer Scrooge.

How are rehearsals going?
NF: They’re going really well. We’re about to move into the theatre for our technical rehearsals after five weeks in the rehearsal studio and we’re at the stage where it feels as if the room is too small and we want to get out of it – that’s the best place you can be at the end of rehearsals.

Is this a fun production to be working on?
PP: Yes very much. Acting is a collaborative venture and casting is really key to this production. I love working with talented people and they are hugely talented so it’s great fun.
