Working with Birmingham Schools

The project continued with writers’ sessions in Okinawa, during the Kijimuna Festa 2008, and following casting, a further residency, to continue devising the play with the final cast working together with the director, writers, a composer and musician in Birmingham in October 08.

At this time, a group of children from two Birmingham Primary Schools, (Chandos and Reaside) worked with the team as part of the process, and from this, with funding from Bright Space (Creative Partnerships), developed their own creative responses to the story: Chandos in the form of a play using puppets and Reaside by creating their own Interactive computer game.
