The dinner party

At the dinner party Lord Boreal comes to speak to Lyra, and through their conversation Lyra discovers that Mrs Coulter is connected to the disappeared children.

Lord Boreal thinks Lyra knows much more than she actually does – when he points out the connection between ‘General Oblation Board’ and the initials G.O.B. Lyra and Pantalaimon grab the alethiometer and make a dash for it.
