Health and safety
What happens regarding the set and Health and Safety?
Adrian We are continually assessing health and safety. We do a risk assessment from day one and we are constantly updating this as the set is built. For example, an actor is not allowed to climb a ladder over nine metres without a harness on. So, we’ve designed the set so that they don’t go beyond five metres. This is considered an acceptable risk. We slowly work our way through the whole set identifying what the hazards are. Sometimes things only emerge as you are building them, then you realise that the piece of set has sharp edges so you have to adjust it accordingly. We’ll often alter things during the fit-up, when how a piece of set is going to be used becomes clearer.
