Early Years

Our Early Years Officers in Birmingham and Telford provide a wide range of creative sessions for children from 0-6, their parents, nurseries, school, children’s centres and Stay & Play groups. The REP also offers CPD workshops for staff working in Early Years settings to develop their own creativity in the classroom.

Packages
Our Early Years Packages give you an expanse of creative opportunities for the children, staff and parents within your setting for an extended period of time. Each Package is different, tailored to your needs and adaptable allowing your school to maintain a long term relationship with the REP and our Early Years Officer. Each includes workshops, inset training, shows and resources and allows your school to embed creativity into the heart of their Early Years work. One off workshops
These workshops take place in your setting and are tailored to your specification. Themes include: Storymaking, Physical Theatre, Movement, Rhythm, Role-Play, Mime, Toy Theatres, Experiential Learning and Film & Photography.

School’s show packages
Our School’s Show Package includes a trip to see a production alongside a 45 minute workshop before or after the performance.

Creative Play and Activity Workshops (0-2)
These sessions would be ideal for stay and play sessions with parents or in very early child care settings. The activities created help to improve motor skills, develop sensory learning and use play to discover and learn.

CPD Workshops
Half day/ twilight sessions which will be tailored to the needs of your staff and/or parents within your setting. Themes include: Reflective Practice, Creativity In The Classroom, Using ITC, Intelligent Materials, Role Play and more, allowing you to work closely with The Early Years Officer to support creativity in the classroom.

All Workshops aim to enhance:

  • A Unique Child – developing individual physical, cognitive, personal, social, linguistic and emotional skills.
  • Positive Relationships – with parents, careers, peers through communication and respect for one another.
  • Enabling environments – providing a safe environment for them to learn.
  • Learning and Development: language & literacy, play & exploration, creative & critical thinking, active learning & engaging, problem solving, reasoning, asking questions, increased knowledge & understanding and enjoying & achieving.

Workshops are tailored to the needs of your setting, staff and children with popular topics including ITC, Community Cohesion and Outdoor Learning.
