Young REP: Hamlet Rehearsals

My name is Jenson and I’m playing Horatio

Today we blocked the scenes where Hamlet is pretending to be mad to hurt Ophelia. It’s quite a hard scene because Hamlet has to pretend to be mad but we’re still using the script. Our Ophelia is playing the character in a really weak way because she’s so in love with Hamlet and he’s pretending not to love her (He loves her really!)

Our ‘Mouse Trap’ scene is very funny because it takes the Mick out of the King for murdering his brother.

I like playing Horatio because I like the way he’s a nice person and he helps Hamlet but I’m a bit worried in case I mess up the lines.
