The Box is opening for bookings!
We’re fast approaching our first ever off-site season and from 10 January 2011, the first Monday following the closure of The REP building in Centenary Square, we will be running a combined REP and city events box office from the lobby of the Central Library. This service will run until we return to the integrated REP/Library of Birmingham building in 2013, when we will be operating a single box office in the foyer of the new building.
Our new booking office opening in January 2011 is called The BOX and will sell tickets for The REP’s off-site season and for The Old REP, Adrian Boult Hall, the Library Theatre and a range of other city venues and events. Central Library Customer Services will continue to sell events currently on sale until closing their service at the end of March 2011.
You won’t notice any significant change in service other than arriving at a new and secure branded domain when purchasing tickets online (birmingham-box.co.uk) and when you receive your tickets these will be branded as The BOX rather than The REP or other venues. These changes will be apparent from 4 January 2011 when The BOX online goes live. The phone numbers for booking tickets (0121 236 4455) and for group bookers (0121 245 2082) will remain the same so you’ll still be able to contact us on those numbers.
The BOX is a trading company of Birmingham Repertory Theatre and all services operated under that brand are managed by Birmingham Repertory Theatre Ltd.
