Prop Hire: The Crocodile

Prop Hire: The Crocodile

Author: Clare Lovell

This giant crocodile was Captain Hook’s nemesis in The REP’s 2007 production of Peter Pan.

The fabric body is supported by lightweight metal hoops, meaning that despite its size it can be operated by as few as three people. For our production it was operated by the actors playing the Lost Boys. The crocodile is extremely flexible and able to dance and move at speed. It is also constructed to fold up small when not in use.

The crocodile can be hired by schools, youth theatres or amateur dramatic societies for as little as £30 per week. (The performers operating it in the picture are not included!) If you’re interested in renting this or any of The REP’s other props, contact our Company Stage Manager on 0121 245 2101.
