The role of Cathy in Wuthering Heights is a demanding one: this gutsy, wilful character requires a very special kind of actor to portray her with passion, truth and sensitivity – and we are delighted to announce that the wonderful Amanda Ryan, probably best known as Carrie in Shameless, will take on the role in our forthcoming production.

She portrayed Catherine/Cathy down to the last spot in the play, me and my class are reading 'Wuthering Heights' as part of our English Literature A-Level and we found the performance to really improve our understanding of the story.
