Welcome to Hope Springs – a correctional facility for teenagers. A place where parents send their children to ‘cure’ them of their delinquent ways.

When young Sam goes missing in mysterious circumstances, a student rebel rallies the kids to take on the draconian regime.

As they take matters into their own hands, it’s not too long before all hell breaks loose.

Hope Springs is going to be Super Cool!
So please come and watch our play!

I am a mum of six, with a house full of teens and I have been trying to get them to broaden their experiences a bit by visiting the theatre more often, amongst other things.

Hope springs looks like a great play and they are really looking forward to seeing it.
Good luck to all the cast.
Alison

Hello, I was wondering what age group Hope Springs is suitable for.It is my sons 11th birthday and Im looking to take him and 6 friends to the theatre. The other children would be 10 years old.
Many thanks,
Karen Horton

Hi Karen

I've spoken to the Director of the play and he tells me that Hope Springs is ok for an 11 year old and a mature 10 year old. It does tackle some heavy issues but does not contain any bad language or graphic images. The play is really relevant and engaging, and offers lots of questions for parents and teenagers about bad behaviour and how to deal with it and the consequences.

I hope this helps but do get in touch if you require any further advice.

Thank you Steph, I have since spoken with Tim ford who was really helpful and have decided to bring them all along to see the play!I think it will be something really different for them and it sounds as if there will be lots to discuss over the MacDonalds afterwards!
Thanks again,
Karen Horton

I am so looking forward to seeing the Hope Springs play; I think I am going to explode!
Seeing the great stuff that the Young Rep performers have done changed my life, made it complete.
You guys are awesome!!!

hi im in hope springs and i would strongly advise you to come and see it its amazing and the story line is great thanks for your comments there very kind ! hope to see you there xxxxx

Wow thanks Stu, I'm in the cast and to have such nice things said about us is really cool. You're awesome too! I hope you like the show. We think it's one of the best we've done and are getting very excited about it. Once again many thanks and hope you enjoy it.

As the author, I try to attend performaces as & when I can, and made a special trip as I thought Tim, Ian & the cast would do something special with the piece.
The first night was mature, assured, multi-layered and visually striking. The cast & production team can be proud of a brilliant realisation of a difficult piece (sorry about that!).
There was lots of time taken on making the speeches feel like they came from real people and lots of subtle, dark humour. A lovely production - worth a six hour drive!
good luck for the rest of the run,
Richard

Well done everyone and thanks for the support you gave everyone else. Ive had a great time doing the play and will see you all next Saturday!!!!!!!!!
Even though my mum is tired she does not regret taking part at all. Mum says well done and she was very suprised at the quality of acting shown by all.

I just want to say well done to everyone in Plays! All the stress, the dinging, the being quiet and staying still paid off in the end! It's been so great to see some of the younger members really grow throughout Hope Springs and i know that our next production will be even better! A big thanks to Tim and Ian and everyone else who helped make Hope Springs happen, can't wait for the next one!! Also, a big thank you to everyone who came to see it and to those who have left such lovely comments, they are much appreciated!
