"Pwn" is technically a polite way of saying "I own you"

@daniel "Pwn" is not a polite way of saying "I own you" it originates from the term "own" as in "I owned at that game". Then when gaming became online on such online games as 'runescape' and 'world of warcraft' the term "player own" came about whereas instead of owning at a game you owned other players in a game. This quickly merged into "pwn" pronounced "pown" or "pewn".
