England, 1976. The Winter of Discontent. Cold hearts seek comfort and poor souls look for love.

A woman nurses her dying father; a cleaner greedily devours her Open University course in the fight for a better life; a career woman seeks the path that her life never took, and the loyal friend, always in the shadows, fears he will disappear one day and no-one will notice.

We are in the lonely hearts column of life. “Save me” is the silent call that drifts from their aching bodies.

But wait. Help is at hand. Don John is here!

Dangerous, naughty and irresistible, Don John is a vessel for all our desires – a delicious chancer. He enters our lives and leaves us changed. Oh yes, he leaves us, for Don John belongs to nobody but himself and The Devil!

With a sensational score of specially commissioned music, Kneehigh bring their renowned brand of physical storytelling to this sexy tale.

After their production of Brief Encounter delighted audiences at The REP last year, Kneehigh return to Birmingham with a new production that promises to be visually stunning, anarchic and intoxicating. Kneehigh are a driving force in contemporary British theatre. Their joyous, compelling and physical storytelling has entranced audiences throughout the UK with productions including Tristan And Yseult, Nights At The Circus, Rapunzel and Cymbeline.

Simply on their production of Brief Encounter, I will book seats for this play. Kneehigh are a wonderful company-and I know Don John will be good.

I have read Don Juan by Abrams, and I absolutely LOVED it, so based on that I will definintely book tickets to go and watch this. CANT WAIT!!

Just got back from watching Don John in strattford, Kneehigh should be proud with this production. it is simply brilliant. cannt wait till its in town

Saw this in Stratford and was blown away. It's very different from Brief Encounter and Cymbeline but has the familiar Kneehigh stamp. I'll definitely try and see Don John in Birmingham too.

If its anything like the book by Abrams, then i am sure it will be magnificent.
I really am looking forward to its release.
--> Must book tickets immediately!

I saw Don John in Stratford;

Watched it last night and it was excellent, the acting, music, set all superb. I'm recommending it to all my friends!!!

Saw the play on Wednesday evening. Great night at the theatre, innovative, entertaining and thought provoking. Just like good theatre should be.

Catch that naughty Don John while he's in town, but make sure to lock up your daughters! Hell hath no fury....

I absolutely loved Don John. I went to see Brief Encounter when it was on at the Rep and I truly thought nothing could beat it and then I watched Don John. A truly magical performance that im sure will not be forgotten in a very long time. I am now an avid fan of the Kneehigh group and promise to come and see any performance from them in the future.

I saw this last night and it was amazing, i am not a big fan of physical theatre but how they interpreted it in this performance was unbelieveable. It never got boring, well done Kneehigh it was amazing!

Saw Don John last night, absolutely superb! Actors that become musicians that mould into dancers, what a multi talented bunch knee high are!

Another great performance from the Kneehigh company. I am always amazed by their sets; very imaginative. Look forward to seeing their next production when it comes to The Rep.
