Tyrone Huggins

Tyrone has performed in over seventy theatre productions at many repertory theatres and arts centres in Britain, including Richard III and Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse (Glasgow Citizens); Murmuring Judges and Absence Of War (Royal National Theatre). He played the central role in the world premiere of Wole Soyinka’s The Beatification of Area Boy (West Yorkshire Playhouse); August Wilson’s Fences (The Garrick, West End); Noughts & Crosses and recently a tour of King Lear, playing Gloucester (Royal Shakespeare Company).

Tyrone has worked with small touring companies including Paines Plough, Black Theatre Co-operative, People Show, Talawa, Talking Birds and Impact Theatre Cooperative.

In 2012 he appeared as the title role in the New Perspectives’ production of his play The Honey Man.

For Birmingham Repertory Theatre he has appeared in Season’s Greetings, Peter Pan, I Was A Rat! and two separate productions of Of Mice & Men.

Tyrone is credited with many appearances on Radio and TV since 1982. Film appearances include The Last Client and Run Fat Boy Run.
