How does casting work at The REP?
The play’s director, a Casting Director and sometimes a Producer handle casting for all Main House and Door productions. We currently make use of freelance Casting Directors, specific to each production, administrated by our in-house Casting Co-ordinator.
We do not as a rule hold any ‘Open Auditions’, but on the occasions we do, notice of these is posted on this website.
If you are an actor
If you are an actor who is interested in being considered for a specific production or role, please email casting@birmingham-rep.co.uk, and we will be pleased to give you details of that production’s Casting Director.
