Casting

Casting at The Rep is carried out on a production by production basis, with casting for each production facilitated by either freelance Casting Directors or our in-house Casting Co-ordinator. Once a Director is in place the Casting Director works with them and sometimes a Producer to find and audition suitable actors who fit the casting breakdown. Administration and casting enquires are administered by our in-house Casting Co-ordinator.

If you are a performer who is interested in being considered for a specific production or role, please email casting@birmingham-rep.co.uk, and we will be happy to give you details of the relevant Casting Director.

If you would like to put yourself forward for general casting consideration, please email a covering letter and your Spotlight link to casting@birmingham-rep.co.uk. (If you do not have a Spotlight account, please include one headshot and a current CV with your cover letter.) While we are unable to respond to every email individually, we will keep your details on file.

Our Safeguarding Policy, which is designed to protect young people, means we are unable to respond to casting queries from anyone aged under 18. A copy of our Children’s Casting Enquiries form must be completed by a parent or legal guardian before we are able to respond. The form is available from the downloads section in the left hand column of this webpage and should be returned to casting@birmingham-rep.co.uk or Casting, Birmingham Repertory Theatre, St George’s Court, Albion Street, Birmingham B1 3AH.

The REP does not generally hold “Open Auditions”, but notice will be posted on our website if such opportunities arise.
