Steven Serlin

Steven was born in London and trained at the Italia Conti Academy. Prior to Our House Steven could be seen as Frankie Valli in the revue show Big Girls Don’t Cry which he co-directed, and in Chess The Concert at the Royal Albert Hall starring Josh Groban.

Other theatre credits include: creating the part of Larry Stein in Desperately Seeking Susan (Novello, West End); Jan/Aaron in the world premiere of Imagine This directed by Tim Sheader (Plymouth Theatre Royal); Monty the DJ in Saturday Night Fever (Apollo Victoria and first national tour); Angelo in Sir Peter Hall’s production of Piaf starring Elaine Paige (Piccadilly); Long John Silver in Treasure Island (Lincoln Theatre Royal); creating the role of Terry in Boogie Nights (West End and tour); Sonny and Kenickie in Grease (Dominion); Tom Jenkins in Scrooge The Musical (tour); Jesus in Godspell (rep); Brad Majors in The Rocky Horror Show (tour); Middle Elvis in Elvis The Musical (tour); Wayne Hudson in Popcorn (rep); Mateo in Ken Hill’s Zorro (Theatre Royal Stratford East); Gary in A Slice Of Saturday Night (tour); Jesus Christ Superstar with Paul Nicholas (25th anniversary tour); Nick in Bedroom Farce (rep); Steven in Copacabana (tour); Principal Reporter in Chess (first national tour); Fleshcreep in Jack And The Beanstalk (Crawley); lead soloist in The Spirit Of Broadway (UK and world tour); Joseph in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (tour); Mr Boo in The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice (rep); Hysterium in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum (rep); Stadium Theatre Company onboard the P&O ship Oriana.

Television includes: Claude in Frank Stubbs Promotes, Inspector Poirot, David in Stratosphere (film), Theatreland, Noel’s House Party, Night Fever, National Lottery and Frank in the film Shoreditch starring Joely Richardson and Shane Richie.

Workshops have included Zorro by Stiles and Drewe, Whitechapel, the original Saturday Night Fever, Times Up by Ray Cooney, Desperately Seeking Susan and most recently Sister Act.
