Steve Brookstein
Steve has been writing and singing for over 20 years. In 1996 he had Judge Jules’ Radio One Record of the Week and signed to EMI publishing in New York as a writer.
Over the years Steve has duetted with multi Grammy winner BeBe Winans, Maxi Priest and supported the legendary Dionne Warwick.
Steve achieved major recognition as a vocalist in 2004 when he won the first series of ITV’s The X Factor with a staggering 5.5 million votes – two-thirds of the poular vote. He went on to have a number one single with a cover of Phil Collins’ Against All Odds and a number one album Heart And Soul.
Recently, Steve has released a second album,40,000 Things, and his original material has attracted many admirers including BBC Jazz award-winners Ian Shaw and Liane Carroll. He is currently working with jazz singer and wife Eileen Hunter, on her new album.
Steve is very much looking forward to taking on his first musical theatre role in Our House.
