Robert Shaw Cameron

Robert is Resident Associate Director at The Birmingham REP; he trained at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and the University of Birmingham. He has worked as both director and actor in theatre and television.

As Associate Director: Notes to Future Self, Arthur & George, Respect (Birmingham Repertory Theatre); A Christmas Carol (West Yorkshire Playhouse)

As Assistant Director: The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Boyfriend (Regent’s Park); The Castle Spectre.

As an actor, theatre work includes: Smoke, As You Like It (New Vic); Dracula, Precious Bane, Death of a Salesman, A Christmas Carol (UK tours). Television and film work includes: The Bill, The Wild Life, Shane, Where the Heart Is, The Basil Brush Show, EastEnders, Holby City, Heartbeat, Keen Eddie and the feature film Ibsen’s Ghosts.
