Jenny Logan

Jenny made her debut at the age of 12 as a liquorice allsort in pantomime at the London Palladium. Since then she has had a long and varied career in cabaret, stage and television. She was in cabaret at Danny La Rue’s famous club in Hanover Square for several years and was a member of Joan Littlewood’s theatre workshop.

Jenny has worked on numerous musicals and favourites including: How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (Shaftesbury Theatre); Grease (New London Theatre with Richard Gere as Danny Zuko); I Do, I Do (Phoenix Theatre); Irene (Adelphi Theatre); Oliver! (playing Nancy); Chicago (Cambridge Theatre where she created the role of Velma Kelly); Gypsy (playing Rose); Side By Side By Sondheim, a national tour of Cowardy Custard, Golda in Fiddler On The Roof, the roles of Liz and Margaret Lord in two different productions of High Society; and she created the role of Gladys in Barry Manilow’s Copacabana, which played at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London and on a tour of Denmark. Other appearances include: Stephen Sondheim’s Anyone Can Whistle for the Covent Garden Festival in the lead role of Cora, the Mayoress which was reprised for the 2002 International Festival of Musical Theatre in Cardiff, Lucia in a new musical based on the Mapp and Lucia stories and Miss Hannigan in Annie. She has also appeared in several pantomimes.

Theatre includes: repertory work at Newcastle, Leicester, Ipswich, Manchester, Hornchurch, Windsor and the Mill at Sonning. Productions include: This Happy Breed, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Grace in Bus Stop, Belinda in Noises Off, Dangerous Corner, Rachel in The Black Prince and Harriet in Key For Two. Jenny has performed for the English Speaking Theatre in Vienna in Romantic Comedy and at the Haymarket Theatre, Basingstoke in the world premiere of Daphne. Jenny has played the leading role of Mavis is Stepping Out at the Strand Theatre London and on two national tours. She has also toured the world appearing in 12 different musicals on board the P&O liner Aurora.

Television appearances include Lovejoy, Me And My Girl, The Two Ronnies, Minder, Pennies From Heaven, Never The Twain, Crimewatch and London’s Burning. She has also been seen as a guest on shows such as Frank Skinner, Gaby Roslin’s Greatest TV Hits, Meridian Tonight, Roger Roger and she appeared in the feature film Night Swimming.

Jenny’s face is familiar from many television commercials, most notably as the notorious ‘Shake ‘n’ Vac’ lady!
