Gerard trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Theatre credits include: Spamalot (Palace Theatre); created the role of Robertson Ay in Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Mary Poppins (Bristol Hippodrome and Prince Edward Theatre); Cinderella (Oxford Playhouse); Peter Pan, The Wizard Of Oz and Alice In Wonderland (all Birmingham Repertory Theatre); The Taming Of The Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Two Gentlemen Of Verona, Leonardo’s Last Supper and High Society (all Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park).

Television credits include: Torchwood (BBC) and Love Soup (BBC).
