Aged 14-26?
You can get free tickets to any show at The REP on a Friday night
Yes, you read that correctly!
As part of the national A Night Less Ordinary scheme, which aims to encourage young people to go to the theatre more regularly, we are offering FREE tickets to see any show at The REP, on any Friday night, until March 2011, for ANYONE aged 14-26.
It sounds too good to be true?
No – this is a genuine offer – we’ll need you to book in a specific way and give us some details about each person in your party (name, address, date of birth etc). There are more details about this below.
OK. So how do I book?
You can book one ticket per show, (up to a maximum of five shows in total per person for the duration of the scheme) by telephone on 0121 236 4455 or in person at our Box Office, within the theatre on Centenary Square. Online booking is not available for A Night Less Ordinary tickets. When you collect your tickets on the night, you must provide photographic ID.
You can also book free tickets for up to five friends (all of whom must be aged 14-26), and you are entitled to one free ticket per person for each show. When you book, we’ll need you to give us the full name, address, mobile number, email address and date of birth of each person for whom you’re booking, so please make sure you have these details ready when you contact us.
If you have booked in advance your tickets will be available for you to collect from the theatre on the night of your chosen performance at the following times:
- For shows starting at 7.00pm: 5.30pm to 6.30pm
- For shows starting at 7.30pm: 6.00pm to 7.00pm
- For shows starting at 7.45pm: 6.15pm to 7.15pm
Each member of your party will need to bring a valid photo ID with them.
If there are tickets available, you will also be able to book in person at the theatre up to 30 minutes before the performance starts. However we strongly advise that you book as far in advance as possible, to avoid being disappointed on the night.
When can I book?
Booking for A Night Less Ordinary tickets opens on Tue 10 February 2009.
What shows can I see?
Anything which has a performance on a Friday night – in either the Main House or The Door. Take your pick from this website!
I can’t come to the theatre on a Friday – can I still have a free ticket?
A Night Less Ordinary is only available on Friday nights. However we do offer an incredible ticket deal called Mad To Miss for 14-26 year olds on other nights of the week. These tickets are just £6.99 per person in the Main House and £4.99 in The Door on selected performances. Telephone the Box Office on 0121 236 4455 to find out more.
Anything else I need to know?
Yes. It’s really important that you read and understand the terms and conditions below.
A Night Less Ordinary is an Arts Council England scheme in association with Metro, which will provide 618,000 free theatre tickets to anyone under 26 in more than 200 venues across England, between February 2009 and March 2011.
Terms and conditions
Tickets are limited and therefore subject to availability. Not available on tickets already reserved or purchased. Tickets can be booked in advance, but must be collected in person on the evening of the performance. Tickets must be collected at least 30 MINUTES before the start of the performance and will be available from the collection desk during the times stated above. Any tickets not collected by this time may be sold. Photographic ID must be presented by each person when collecting tickets. If no photographic ID is presented, admission can be refused. Tickets are not transferrable. Up to 6 tickets can be booked by one person providing each ticket is for a 14-26 year old and photographic ID is presented by each person. Other tickets booked will be charged at the applicable rate. Each person may only use the scheme to see up to five shows throughout the duration of the scheme. Patron details must be given at the time of booking.
The Theatre Management reserves the right to: Refuse admission to the Theatre. Request any ticket holder to leave the Theatre. Terminate any membership initiatives and associated benefits, without prior notification. All tickets are sold subject to the Theatre Management’s right to alter the advertised programme or cast in the event of illness or unavoidable cause, without prior notification. The Theatre Management reserves the right, in extreme circumstances, to cancel any performance without notice. Every effort will be made to contact customers in advance. The Box Office will advise all customers regarding suitability of a show for Minors where an age guideline is not advertised. The use of cameras, video and audio equipment within the auditoria is strictly prohibited. Mobile phones, pagers and watch alarms are an irritant and distraction to both actors and audience and must be switched off prior to entering the auditorium.
p.s we just wanted to remind you that although these tickets are free of charge to you, they are still of value to The REP, as we would either pass them on for another young person to enjoy or sell them to another customer. We really need to insist that you inform us at least three hours before the show, if you can no longer attend. If you fail to do so we reserve the right to suspend any future A Night Less Ordinary ticket reservations.
